GO Topeka Economic Partnership has programs in place to help businesses continue to grow, with incentives for expansion and dedicated people working to ensure Topeka remains one of the most business-friendly environments in the nation.
GO Topeka’s vision is to be the leader in creating opportunities for economic growth that provide a thriving business climate and fulfilling lifestyle for all residents of Topeka and Shawnee County. GO Topeka’s mission is to create exceptional opportunities for growth, prosperity, innovation, and economic diversity and vibrancy that positively impact current and future citizens of Topeka and Shawnee County by attracting world-class companies, providing existing companies with the knowledge and resources to reach their highest potential, and cultivating entrepreneurial development and growth.
GO Topeka, a subsidiary of the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce, is funded by a countywide half-cent economic development sales tax, which generates around $5 million annually to use for attraction of new businesses to the community, expansion of existing businesses, growing new businesses and acquiring and managing assets necessary to support and retain primary jobs. The dispersion of that money is overseen by the Joint Economic Development Organization comprised of elected officials from Shawnee County and the City of Topeka.
